Shalom and Welcome

“In Toronto, we are blessed with a strong Jewish community, with rituals and customs that have united our people for thousands of years.

“These traditions are especially important when a death occurs. They comfort us as we grieve and provide a source of spiritual healing. At Benjamin’s, we honour these rites in a way that is meaningful for family and friends. We go above and beyond to help you in your time of loss.

“On this site, you will find the most updated information on services, shivas and unveilings. You will also find a wealth of information on our time-honoured Jewish mourning traditions.

“The Benjamin family has supported our community for four generations. If we can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate to contact us.”

Notice:
Yolleck, Daniel Noah - December 20, 1950 - September 18, 2017. We are sad to announce that Dan Yolleck, surrounded by his family, passed away peacefully in his home on September 18 at age 66. He leaves behind his loving wife of 19 years, Shayna, as well as children Mindi (Mark), Aaron, Brian (Rose) and Laurie (Joe), as well as sisters Joan and Marthe (Michael). His grandchildren Sydney, Jordan, Austin, Kayla, Rhys and Jasmine will forever miss their Papa Dan - their trips to Florida, Collingwood and sleepovers. He will also be missed by his brothers-in law Jack (Rebecca) and Mike (Rosie), niece and nephews Susie (Yoav), David, Dan and Steven, and great nieces and nephews Brendan, Shawn, Rachel, Alexa, Kyle and Jacob. Dan's journey led him to become an inspirational guide, strategic coach and mentor to senior executives of many of the largest companies in the world. He taught people how to ask questions of themselves and others. He listened in a way that made people feel heard. He spoke in a way that challenged people to be better, professionally and personally. He was blessed to love and be loved deeply and this was demonstrated by the care he received from his beloved Shayna and their children. Dan's philosophy through business and life was to bless the moment, trust yourself, expect the best and to create a great day, which he did until the very end. His smile and open heart will be missed by so many. Services were held at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel on Tuesday September 19, 2017 at 3:00 pm.
